Born Deborah Clearbranch, Desiree Cousteau came to the porn business probably as a result of a stagnant career as an actress in mainstream films. Her one mainstream performance was in 1974's girl-prison B-movie, Caged Heat. Desiree Cousteau in the 1970's and early1980's became the porn industry's archetype for the ditzy, bubble-headed bodacious babe. A beautiful full figure with some of the largest natural breasts and a cutie-pie face made Cousteau the natural porn star. Her looks combined with her voracious on-screen sexual appetite made her one of the legends of porn. Desiree Cousteau received the Best Actress award in 1978. 

Her post-porn career is somewhat of a mystery. There were stories that she married, had a family and settled down.
